The interior design of a yacht is serious business and offers the owner a real chance to stamp their personality on board.
Whilst not every design will be to everyone’s taste, some manage to get it just right and achieve the perfect blend of distinctiveness and style. This Caribbean yacht charter season, why not cruise the exotic waters of the Caribbean or Indian Ocean aboard one of these fashionably designed vessels:
M/Y .11.11.
Channelling art-deco design, M/Y .11.11. is a distinctive 63m Benetti superyacht for charter. Launched in 2015, she boasts a sleek exterior and a custom-designed interior, which evokes images of Gatsby-esque splendour, complete with polished wood panelling and marble furnishings.
The colour theme exudes contemporary sophistication in creams, chocolate browns, black and grey. Cruising the Caribbean and the Bahamas this winter, the yacht can accommodate 12 guests in six stunning staterooms.
M/Y OCTOPUSSY
On-board bold and vibrant M/Y OCTOPUSSY, the martinis come shaken, not stirred. With a distinctive blue hull, the classic 43.59m Heesen superyacht was built in 1988, undergoing a significant refit in 2015 that brought her to an exceptional standard.
Her refreshed interiors offer a bright palate reminiscent of spacious beachside living. With the capacity to accommodate 12 guests in five cabins, the yacht is available for Caribbean and Cuban yacht charters this winter.
M/Y ELIXIR
The 55.0m M/Y ELIXIR was built in 2016 and sports a stylishly cool interior that contrasts light and dark tones to stunning effect. Her interior contrasts cream coloured upholstery and furniture with dark wood details, creating an elegant atmosphere of spaciousness and sophistication.
Through innovative use of light, including an illuminated handrail on the staircase and a backlit onyx bar that resembles ice, M/Y ELIXIR has a futuristic feel that redefines the traditional yachting experience.
From the large Master Suite, guests can admire the ocean across the fold-down balcony. She sleeps 12 guests in five stunning staterooms and has a large Jacuzzi on the sundeck.
M/Y SENSES
If the gentle swaying of palm trees and languid days sipping on fresh coconut water is to your liking, M/Y SENSES offers an oasis of contemporary design in a paradisiacal Pacific setting.
The yacht’s exterior – complete with 6 separate deck spaces allowing for an unrivalled water toy collection – belies her sophisticated, streamlined interiors, which were designed by renowned French designer Philippe Starck with updates by Therese Baron Gurney.
The 59.2m yacht was built in 1999 and underwent a major refit in 2014 with further significant works carried out winter 2015/16. The yacht is available for winter charters in New Zealand. She sleeps 12 guests in six staterooms with a gym that can be converted to an additional guest twin.
